Tribal Opioid Response Project

The Tribal Opioid Response project provides these FREE harm reduction materials. The following items are available to anyone:

  • Medication lock bottles, boxes and organizers
  • Sharps containers
  • Naloxone (Narcan)
  • Fentanyl test-strips
  • Portable phone chargers
  • Condoms, dental dams, and internal condoms
  • Harm reduction kits

**To access these materials, please come to the Tribal Public Health window at Potawot Health Village, or the front desk of all other UIHS clinics.

For UIHS clients in recovery, the Tribal Opioid Response project provides assistance with the following:

  • Transportation assistance in the form of gas cards and bus passes for UIHS appointments
  • Financial assistance for:
    • Educational materials (i.e. textbooks)
    • One months rent in a sober living facility
    • Childcare (for UIHS appointments)
    • Court mandated classes (i.e. HASP/HART)

The Tribal Opioid Response project offers the following trainings for FREE:

  • Opioids and Naloxone (1 to 2 hours)
  • Harm Reduction (1 to 2 hours)
  • Medication Safety (1 hour)
