Direct Health Care Services are made available to persons of “Indian descent”. For UIHS purposes, persons who meet the requirements are considered to be Eligible Indian Beneficiaries (EIB’s), and are eligible for Direct Health Care Services which are provided by UIHS. In addition, if the EIB resides within the UIHS Service Area, the spouse and the children of the EIB may also be eligible for specific UIHS Direct Health Care Services approved by our Board of Directors.

Minor children: UIHS requires a certified birth certificate for all minor children. For children who are not your biological child we require current, valid legal or court documents for any adoption, custody, guardianship, or foster care to register for services.

Direct Health Care Services are provided to all registered eligible Indian beneficiary
(EIB) clients and UIHS Employees. Family members who meet registration requirements may also be eligible for specific UIHS Direct Health Care Services as approved by our Board of Directors.
