Client Advocates
Supporting Our People • Honoring Our Traditions • Walking the Path to Wellness Together
We’re Here for You—Every Step of the Way
At United Indian Health Services (UIHS), wellness is more than a service, it’s a journey grounded in culture, relationships, and respect. That’s why we created the Client Advocate Program: to ensure that every person feels supported, understood, and empowered as they navigate life’s challenges.
Whether you’re seeking care, looking for resources, or simply need someone to walk alongside you, our Client Advocates are here to support your path, every step of the way.

What You Can Expect from a Client Advocate
Client Advocates are here to be your guide and support system. We know our community. We know the systems and we’re here to help you feel confident, connected,
and cared for.
During your appointment, we will work closely with you to:
- Understand and identify your needs and goals
- Connect you to key services and resources that can support you
- Provide care coordination by being a consistent, caring presence when things feel overwhelming
How We Can Support You
Once we understand your needs, we’ll help connect you to the care, services, and resources that support your wellness.
We Can Help With:
- Creating wellness routines and coping tools that reflect your strengths.
- Coordinating your care across UIHS services and programs.
- Finding safety and support during difficult times.
- Scheduling appointments and arranging transportation.
- Completing paperwork for DHHS, disability, housing, and other programs.

- Connecting you with tribal and community services beyond UIHS.
- Connecting you with cultural resources to strengthen identity and healing.
- Creating wellness routines and coping tools that reflect your strengths.
- Being someone you can call when you’re not sure where to start.

Why It Matters
Every person deserves to feel supported, respected, and valued in their journey toward wellness. We understand that navigating services can be challenging and you don’t have to do it alone. As Client Advocates, we are here to walk beside you with care, understanding, and a commitment to your wellbeing. Our work is guided by the belief that healing happens in connection with others, with tradition, and with community.
We’re here to build trust, offer consistent guidance, and help create a path forward that reflects both your goals and your story, with respect for the strengths you already carry.
