Job Description

Coordinates and delivers training of a technical nature to UIHS staff on the usage of the NextGen electronic health records system. Enrolls staff in education plans, tracks and reports on staff progress and completion of training classes. Provides feedback to managers and directors regarding staff performance in completing training modules. Identifies technical training requirements; develops and maintains a technical training plan in support of organizational strategic and immediate operations objectives; creates training presentations, training materials, and job aids; conducts training presentations to large audiences, small role-specific groups, one-on-one training in an on-the-job setting and/or via video conferencing, and; provides feedback from staff to better enhance technical solutions. Retains expert-user knowledge and may assist in system/application support activities. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Educational degrees must be from a US Department of Education accredited school • Bachelor’s Degree with major focus of study in Education, Healthcare, or Public Communications and two years related experience, or • Associates Degree in similar field as listed above and four years related experience, • All candidates must have demonstrable experience in managing a training program, knowledge of structured training concepts and techniques, personal experience as a training instructor, and the confidence and ability to apply this knowledge to technical topics in a medical setting. All candidates must have knowledge of healthcare or clinical systems
